CoolSculpting® Uses

CoolSculpting® Important Safety Information

Cryoglobulinemia, cold agglutinin disease, or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria are conditions that should not be treated with CoolSculpting® or CoolSculpting® Elite.

Be sure to tell your doctor if you have any medical conditions, including recent surgery, a hernia, or allergies or sensitivities.

At the treatment site, you may experience feelings of pulling, tugging, mild pinching, intense cold feeling, tingling, stinging, aching, and cramping. As the treatment area numbs, these sensations will diminish. A typical side effect following submental or submandibular area treatment is temporary redness, swelling, blanching, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging, tenderness, cramping, aching, itching, or skin sensitivity, as well as the sensation of fullness in the back of the throat.

CoolSculpting® and CoolSculpting® Elite can cause rare side effects in approximately one to ten out of 10,000 treatments (between 0.01% and 0.1%). A rare side effect is an enlargement of the treated area that develops 2 to 5 months after treatment, which will not go away on its own, and may need surgical intervention.

CoolSculpting is a contouring or sculpting procedure that modifies the distribution of fat cells to change the shape of your body. Results are not related to weight and CoolSculpting is not a weight loss solution.

Before treatment, avoid anti-inflammatory products (NSAIDs, ibuprophen, etc.) to help reduce the chance of bruising. After treatment, you may return to your normal daily activities immediately (including exercise). It is important to maintain your weight post treatment, as significant weight gain will compromise best results.
